We asked Liz to tell us a little bit about what makes Simply Strings so special and how they form a magical part of your event...
Simply Strings
21 years, countless beautiful moments, and a whole lot of music…
Simply Strings began in Sheffield 21 years ago with a simple idea — to play more music, more often, and to share the joy of live strings with people celebrating the moments that matter most.
What I started as a small string trio, has evolved into a wonderful, group of fantastic musicians, performing at some truly stunning events and venues across the years.
We’ve been incredibly lucky to perform for royalty and for some familiar faces along the way, including Keira Knightley, England cricket captain Joe Root, Jenna Coleman and Brooke Shields.
And then there are the stories that make each wedding and event unforgettable…
We’ve had a groom arrive on a camel, and on another occasion, an owl landed on my music stand — apparently deciding that delivering the wedding rings to the Vicar wasn’t quite its thing!
After 21 years, it’s the people, the places and the unexpected moments that make Simply Strings so special. We feel incredibly fortunate to do what we love.
Most of all, we’re privileged to be part of what is often one of the happiest and most important days of a couple’s life — providing the soundtrack to memories that will last a lifetime.
