A Floral filled Day
A sell out crowd joined us on Sunday 23rd August for a joyful celebration of flowers, creativity and community - hosted across Victoria and The Mowbray, and curated by Bloom Sheffield.
One Event, Two Venues
We used both Victoria and The Mowbray to host this 'first of its kind' event - The large hall at The Mowbray lending itself beautifully to a gorgeous Flower and Makers Market.
Victoria's spaces excelled - with the sun shining - we hosted sunny chairs and tables around The Fire Kitchen and alfresco bar in The Courtyard alongside a lovely garden shop and activities.
The cool climes of Clubhouse Social welcomed guests for coffee, sparkling English wine, cocktails and freshly made cakes and bakes.
Workshops took place in The Lodge and The Chapel was home to sell out crowds for talks including Katy Merrington - Cultural Gardener at The Hepworth Wakefield and Rekha Mistry of Gardener’s World.
Fire Kitchen
Our Courtyard Fire Kitchen has become a key part of Festivals at Victoria! A complete treat for the soul and senses - there's something so special about cooking on fire that brings people together…
We presented a specially designed menu for the Flower Festival majoring on Summer seasonality and lush herbs and allotment picks.
STEAK BUTTY: Steak & chimichurri ciabatta / GARDEN FLATBREAD: topped with courgettes & pesto / EMBER SALAD: Ember-roasted beets & shallots with freekeh, feta & leaves
Our chefs had also created a range of delicious ice-creams for the Festival
Boozy raisin & pecan praline (v) / Milk chocolate (v) / Lily’s Lavender & Lemon curd ripple (v) / Caramel (v) / Blackcurrant Sorbet (v, ve)
Added Loveliness
To add in even more lovely things to a special day - we had arranged a collaboration with our friends Wolfe Bros of Yorkshire - an award winning gin and liqueurs producer based in central Leeds - all about sustainable production and practice - who set up a special Wonky Fruit Festival Spiritz & ‘Cello Bar in Vic's Courtyard for the day!
Our team also created the bestselling - The Iced Banana Bread Matcha Latte & Iced White Chocolate Strawberry Mocha and lovely botanical tipples including The Bloom & Tonic 0%, Botanical Bliss & The Secret Garden.
Plug & Play
We supported with…Full styling and set-up taken care of, complete bar, front of house and chef team, a dedicated event coordinator at each venue, promotion and marketing support support via artwork, website articles, databases and newsletters, plus social media packages.
A Flower Market
At The Mowbray - we hosted a 'sell out' vibrant flower market filled with Yorkshire-grown blooms, where guests met local growers, learned about their flowers, and took home a fresh bunch...
Workshops, Talks and Demos
An enriching mix of leading names and experts...Hosted at Victoria
Victoria - once a plot for a famed dahlia grower - when the neighbourhood was covered in orchards and growing plots - sitting beautifully under the banks on the ancient forested hill of Park Wood Springs - is the perfect host to enjoy inspiring floristry demonstrations, talks on flowers and growing and a programme of creative, flower-themed workshops...
Words From Bloom
“What a day! The sun shone down on an absolutely magical time. Bloom is so grateful to everyone who came and shared the day with us and for all their support. It was so wonderful to have so many creative and likeminded folks in one place.
A highlight for me was hearing 100 people in the chapel erupt into applause for Katy Merrington at the beginning of day and then pile out into a sun-filled courtyard at The Victoria.
So special!” - Kendall Turner, Founder, Bloom Sheffield.
